Crysis 2 Review and looking forward to the new Crysis 3 for PC, PS3 and XBOX 360
Crysis 2 has been arguably seen as being one of the best games of the year. In contrast, many have disagreed claiming that it fell down in areas of game play. I have to say I am certainly one of those that thought it was AMAZING!!!

Crysis 2 doesn't stick to the predefined first person shooter games that have gone before. With its advanced graphics (with the help of the Crysis development engine), great storyline and very clever features (invisibile, armour and strength etc) the game offers alot.

Crysis 2 is set in the not so distant future of 2024. You wouldn't really notice. Theres not much difference from today but anyway. The story begins in New York where the city is being attacked by an unknown force. An alien virus is moving from one place to another contaminating people. Little do they know that the virus hibernates small little aliens (kind of like the Aliens movies that we all know).

You play a soldier at the beginning before any of these details are known. Miltary forces are called into the city to resolve an unknown incident. With the help of an EXCELLENT intro video your helicopter crash lands after being hit when flying over New York. You wake to find the crashed reckage... oh and a huge guy dragging you to safety while fighting off incoming alien forces. Your saviour is a marine code named Alcatraz.

The game begins with you waking inside an advanced living nanosuit built for combat. You have the ability of super strength, speed, invisibility and armour (as you'll learn to use later in the game). The nanosuit acts a medium to play the game, customize your abilities and be informed about missions and going on. Yeah.... I want one too.

The nanosuit does all the cool stuff mentioned but there are some limits. You can only do some of these abilities for a limited time up until you run out of energy. When sneeking around whilst invisible carrying out an objective can be made MUCH harder when having to decloak and find time for your suit to charge up again before continuing. It doesn't just apply to being invisible. When your fighting a battle and choose to use the armour, it can only take so many hits without recharging. The best way to make your energy last for the longest is to avoid running around and using as many hit and run tactics as possible. It great being able to sneak up on the enemy without them being aware.

It is possible to extend these abilities. After a number of missions you soon collect alien DNA which the nanosuit can use. These act as credits which can add up to provide a advancement to the current abilities i.e. reduce the power drain of the suit. Different advancements can be switched on or off dependant on the scenerio that is being faced in a mission.

The graphics are amazing. With the help of the amazing crysis engine, it really is made to shine. When completing just a few of the objectives you can look around your environments. For me, the best one was when opening a bunker door to find New York city in its entirety. The graphics makes it look amazing!

Crysis 2 is GREAT game. It offers a great storyline and it bring alot of new features to the table with its level of game play. I give it 9 out of 10!!! What will we see in up coming games like Crysis 3?

Crysis 3 is expected to be coming out in April 2013. I know I can't wait either!

Crysis 2 left the story line open for a follow on game. We saw Alkatras claim that there was more battles to be fought inside a vision. So will these aliens be back with more plan to take over the world?

The new Crysis 3 game will be using a new build on the last game engine which will be regarded as Crysis engine 3. So we can expect to need a top of the line graphics card for those that will be playing it on a PC. For those that will be using a XBOX 360 or PS3 you should be alright unless another concole is released in the mean time. The release date is far away and anything in the realms of technology could happen.
